Vishwaroopam has been lying low after the trailer release a few weeks ago.Enquiring some key trade sources, here is the word about Vishwaroopam and the reasons quoted for the delay. The asking price quoted by Kamal Haasan were little too steep for buyers. Kamal had quoted up to Rs. 80 Crores for Tamil, Rs. 55 Crores for Hindi and Rs. 25 Crores for Telugu including the international, music and satellite rights for respective languages. Since this is not in the ball park range, potential buyers did not even come up with a counter offer.



Kamal Haasan had been in a wait-and-watch mode for almost a month now. There are some indications that Kamal may have relaxed his position from the initial expectations as he doesn't want to miss the August window. The current talk is that ulaganaygan may have started to make his moves to release on August 24th.
